Harbor Pointe Senior Living: The Future of Assisted Living + Memory Care
According to the Population Reference Bureau, “The number of Americans ages 65 and older is projected to nearly double from 52 million in 2018 to 95 million by 2060, and the 65-and-older age group’s share of the total population will rise from 16 percent to 23 percent.”
In response to the fast-growing need for senior housing, Harbor Pointe Senior Living is planned as a three-story building in Newport Beach, California with 100 units and 121 beds, including 77 units of assisted living and 23 units for memory care living. Amenities include subterranean parking, an upscale dining room, grill room and bar, nail and hair salon, theater, gym, library, art and craft room, dining room, separate memory care dining room, walking path, outdoor barbecue and courtyard.
“Our local studies show that 25 percent of Newport Beach residents are over 65, yet no new full service assisted living/memory care communities have been built for almost 20 years in our community. We’re passionate about helping close the gap for our seniors,” said CEO and Chairman of CenterPointe Senior Living Paul Habeeb.
The team responsible for building Harbor Pointe Senior Living has significant commercial real estate experience, including sponsoring the acquisition and operation of technology and manufacturing companies alongside national private equity firms. Past projects have included a 160,000 square foot retail center in Scottsdale, Arizona, a 170,000 square foot retail center in Henderson, Nevada, and 1,000 multi-family apartment units and 143-unit senior living project in Colorado, among others.
